Vitamin C Infusions
Vitamin C is a nutrient that can be found in food. Dietary supplements also contain vitamin C. This vitamin has antioxidant properties and also a role in the production of collagen. It can be administrated intravenously in order to reach high levels in the blood.
High doses of vitamin C can slow the growth and spread of cancer. Laboratory studies showed this effect in prostate, liver, colon, pancreatic cancer and many other types of cancer. The studies also revealed the improvement in physical, mental, emotional functions after administrating intravenously high dosage of Vitamin C.
Very few side effects have been noted on vitamin infusions in clinical trials. There are specific patient groups with associated risk factors. As such, vitamin C infusions are not recommended for patients with kidney failure, kidney stones, G-6- PD deficiency and patients with hemochromatosis.
