The Problems Parasites Pose for Longevity

Though some parasites can be used as a beneficial strategy to modulate immune systems, such as in cases of Crohn’s disease, most are the root cause of chronic illness – and a major threat to longevity.

Ranging from microscopic amoeba to huge tapeworms, parasites generally enter our bodies through exposure to contaminated water, pets, mosquitos, fleas, bodily fluids and contaminated food – pork and shellfish are especially high in heat-tolerant parasites.

And even though we tend to lead a more hygienic existence these days, poor lifestyle habits, disrupted sleep patterns, bad diets, excessive use of antibiotics, and stress, can all combine to compromise immune systems – and when the immune system is compromised, it increases the risk of parasitic infections, bringing potentially serious consequences for our health if left untreated.

Symptoms of Parasitic Infection

Common toxins, pollutants and heavy metals all combine to depress our immune systems, preventing the body from properly responding to parasites, leading to parasitic infections as they grow, reproduce and invade healthy functioning systems.

Symptoms of parasitic infection include:

  • Stomach cramps and pain;
  • Insomnia;
  • Digestive issues including constipation, diarrhoea, excess gas;
  • Vomiting and nausea;
  • Weight problems (obesity and weight loss);
  • Fatigue;
  • Skin problems including rashes and itchiness
  • Brain fog;
  • Headaches;
  • Iron deficiency anaemia;
  • Nutrient deficiency;
  • Weakness;
  • Chronic pain including joint pain;
  • Dehydration;
  • Swollen lymph nodes;
  • Depression;
  • Anxiety;
  • Adrenal fatigue;
  • Teeth grinding;
  • Liver problems;
  • Recurrent yeast infections;
  • Itching of the anus or vagina;
  • Leaky gut syndrome, and more.

Testing for Parasites

At Neomed, we use applied kinesiology or the Comprehensive Stool Test from Germany to determine whether parasites and their eggs are present in the digestive tract.

As well as offering stool tests, we also have the Oberon Diagnostic Machine at our clinic, an extraordinary non-invasive NLS device that ‘listens in’ on the body, measuring the vibrations of individual cells down to their molecular structure. The machine then compares the measured results with a stored and extensive database to reveal any abnormalities in tissues, cells or organs with up to 90% accuracy. As well as diagnosing illness, the Oberon can detect parasites (as well as bacteria, viruses and fungi) as they have different vibration patterns, which can be localised and determined. The Oberon will then help to find suitable measures to eliminate them.
